We are Maine Towns Playing Cards Co.
We are a small family run business from Waterville, Maine. Since 2020, we have been designing, producing, and selling high-quality Maine-themed playing cards. Our products aren’t your average souvenir playing card deck - they are thoughtfully and thoroughly designed, complete with 56 completely unique cards, and produced using premium and sustainable materials. We have created three decks so far, and anticipate an exciting journey ahead. We’re glad you’re here and we hope you will join us for the ride!
THE INSPIRATION.
I am Charlie Haberstock, a senior in college who founded this business during the COVID pandemic of 2020. Growing up in Canaan, Maine, I have always had a passion for the beautiful geography of my home state, which led me to set the goal of visiting all of Maine’s 455 towns before I went to college. Completing this goal was the inspiration behind my first deck, Maine Towns Playing Cards, and the rest was history! I am grateful everyday that I get to share these products with people who love Maine just as much as I do.
OUR MANUFACTURER.
Our playing cards are produced by Shuffled Ink, a family owned and operated playing card printer based out of Orlando, Florida. Through Shuffled Ink, our products are produced with safe and environmentally friendly materials, including 100% post-consumer recycled paper for our tuck boxes.

There’s a great chance! Visit the about page for each deck where you can look at the key cards and learn which Maine locations are included in each deck.

When I first designed Maine Towns Playing Cards, I tried to use a consistent metric to determine which towns would be included, such as population. However, I eventually decided that I was better off choosing by hand which towns to include. Maine Towns are special for many reasons, and I wanted to showcase a diverse group of towns from all around the state. Call it arbitrary, but I call it 52 of the most culturally significant towns in Maine. I’ve applied this same mentality to my other decks since - I choose the locations that I believe will make for the best final product… and yes you have the right to complain about it if you don’t agree :)

Don’t worry! T-Shirt orders will be shipped directly from the printer, while playing card orders will be shipped directly from us. The products will arrive separately, but both should be shipped within 3 business days of your order.
